Sharing Senses
During a one-month artist residency at the Cyborg Foundation in Barcelona, I collaborated with cyborg artists Neil Harbisson, Moon Ribas, and Manel De Aguas, as well as engineer Fenix Binario. The Cyborg Foundation is a community dedicated to exploring how technology can expand human perception and create new senses.
Sharing Senses explored the concept of a shared sensory organ through an interactive device experienced by two people simultaneously. Through sound and vibration against skin, participants felt frequencies from 100–10,000 Hz and ultrasound, sensations typically beyond conscious human perception.
The work invited participants to experience what happens when senses merge, exploring the intimacy of shared perception and the possibilities that arise when perceptual boundaries dissolve.
